DESCRIPTION:
A beautiful and historically significant 33-piece Noritake china set bearing the prestigious "M in Wreath" Morimura backstamp — one of the most collectible Noritake marks, used by the Morimura Brothers before World War II and placing these pieces firmly in the pre-1940s era.
The "M in Wreath" mark was used by the Morimura Brothers and places these pieces around 1911 through the pre-WWII period — making this a genuinely antique set, not merely vintage. eBay
The Pattern: Elegant cream white porcelain with a charming border of yellow and orange roses, surrounded by a teal/blue garland and dot chain, all finished with gold gilt trim. A quintessential early Noritake design — refined, colorful, and timelessly beautiful.
Complete 33-Piece Inventory:
- 12× Salad/Luncheon Plates
- 12× Berry Bowls
- 2× Teacups with Saucers
- 1× Gravy Boat with Underplate
- 1× Creamer
- 1× Small Oval Dish
- 1× Round Covered Dish with Gold Handle Lid
- 1× Platter (approx. 11.5" × 8.5")
Condition: Very good antique condition. Serving pieces are rarer and more valuable than individual place settings — this set is particularly strong with its covered dish, gravy boat with underplate, creamer, and platter all present and intact.
A wonderful set for a holiday table, a collector of early Japanese export porcelain, or anyone who appreciates the artistry of early 20th-century handcrafted china.
