A richly decorated Chinese porcelain table lamp in the classic Hu form — a vessel shape with origins in ancient Chinese ritual bronzes — mounted on a gilt brass footed base with its original pagoda-style cream shade and pierced brass Shou (longevity) finial.
The vase body is lavishly hand-painted in the famille rose palette across every surface. The shoulder features dense millefleurs (ten thousand flowers) decoration — an all-over ground of peonies, lotus blossoms, chrysanthemums, and foliage in the Cantonese export tradition. The belly carries figural reserve panels depicting Chinese immortals, scholars, and courtly figures amid pine trees, waterways, pavilion fencing, and cloud forms — a classic narrative composition.
A warm gilt ground glows beneath the floral shoulder treatment, and the foot is banded with a geometric border in the Famille Rose palette.
