Description:
A striking pair of Chinese porcelain covered jars in the famille rose tradition, featuring an octagonal baluster form with richly decorated alternating panels in vibrant turquoise and imperial yellow. Each jar is hand-painted with abundant florals — peonies, chrysanthemums, and floral baskets — set against scrolling vine grounds, with bold iron-red panel dividers and a geometric border at the base. The fitted domed lids are crowned with flame finials in coral red.
The bases bear a six-character blue underglaze Kangxi reign mark (Da Qing Kangxi Nian Zhi), a traditional tribute to the celebrated Kangxi Emperor of the Qing Dynasty. Both jars are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks observed.
Displayed together, these jars make an immediate decorative statement — equally at home on a mantel, console, or flanking an entryway. Their scale, saturated color, and paired symmetry lend themselves beautifully to chinoiserie, maximalist, and traditional interiors alike.
